Description:

Magnit Global is a leading, global professional services and technology company and a certified “Great Place to Work”. We have been a leader in contingent workforce management since 1991 and work with leading Fortune 500 companies and other large organizations across numerous verticals including consumer electronics, research and development, pharmaceuticals, health services, and many more!

We're glad to continue a relationship with you and happy to assist in the next steps of your career once more!

This contract opportunity is with Airbnb.

About the Role

You will be deeply involved in implementing and expanding on the work we started with Project Lighthouse, in close collaboration with product, engineering and data science teams. Your work will help ensure that teams across the company are empowered with the insights necessary to address inequities within their features and surface areas, head-on -- ultimately enabling us to build a product that fosters true belonging amongst members of the Airbnb community.

The work of making our platform one that is more just and equitable is challenging, but critical. We’re looking for talented data scientists who are ready and excited to take on this important and unsolved problem.

What You Will Do

  • Implementing frameworks that measure and help mitigate potential inequities within the Airbnb user experience.
  • Defining and evaluating key metrics in an unstructured problem space. Developing and communicating a robust understanding of what moves these metrics and why.
  • Working closely with a range of stakeholders across the company.
  • Investigating challenging questions around the user experience to understand the voice of our users at scale.
  • Executing projects with great complexity and variability, from analyzing established metrics to experiments.
  • Translating data to actionable insights, and owning analysis end-to-end, from research goals to findings.

  What You Will Need

  • A quantitative (economics, statistics, math, data science, etc) undergraduate degree with a strong preference for candidates holding an advanced degree.
  • 5+ years experience in a related field with deep technical expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and analytics tools. Experience with advanced experimentation techniques is a plus.
  • Expert skills in SQL and Python.
  • Experience with Asana as a project/process management tool preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to create and drive data analysis and views for the business, and clearly communicate to and with stakeholders
  • Positive, solution-oriented mindset; leads by example.
  • Strong time management and prioritization capabilities.
  • Absolute ability to maintain confidentiality and objectivity.
  • A recognition of the problem we’re trying to solve, and curiosity about it. You recognize that issues of bias, discrimination, and systemic inequities are real, measurable problems, and you are eager to learn more about them.
