About the Role
The Workday Marketplace is a platform where customers discover and acquire Workday and third-party solutions. Our vision for Marketplace is to expand the reach & value of the Workday platform by building a thriving Workday Economy with our Partners.
We’re launching an innovative marketplace app platform designed to empower our partners with scalable, high-impact solutions. As a Senior Analyst, you will play a critical role in standing up the reporting, analytics, and operational processes needed to support and scale our marketplace. Your insights will directly shape go-to-market strategies, partner engagement, and product roadmap decisions.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role working closely with product, engineering, sales, marketing, and partner teams. You’ll bring rigor to how we track performance, uncover growth opportunities, and operationalize data into repeatable processes.
What You Will Do
- Design and Build Reporting Infrastructure: Own the creation of foundational dashboards and KPIs that track marketplace health, including partner adoption, app performance, and customer engagement.
- Data Modeling & Insights: Develop data models in tools such as Snowflake and Sigma that allow the team to measure the entire partner lifecycle—from onboarding to revenue generation.
- Partner & Platform Analytics: Analyze app usage, partner performance, funnel conversion, and customer behavior to inform strategic priorities and GTM execution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with GTM, product, operations, and engineering teams to ensure data is captured, organized, and reported in a way that supports growth and scale.
- Process Development: Create and document scalable processes that enable self-serve reporting, standardized metrics, and performance review cadences.
- Strategic Support: Translate data into actionable recommendations and present findings to stakeholders and executives.
What You Will Need
- 5+ years of experience in business analytics, operations, or data strategy roles—preferably in high-tech, SaaS, or platform business models.
- Proven experience designing and building dashboards and data models in tools like Snowflake, Sigma, Tableau, or Looker.
- Strong SQL skills and ability to wrangle data from multiple sources.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to distill complex datasets into clear narratives and business recommendations.
- Experience supporting GTM or product teams, especially in partner ecosystems or marketplaces, is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with B2B marketplaces or SaaS partner ecosystems.
- Experience implementing reporting governance or scalable BI frameworks.
- Exposure to API analytics, embedded app performance, or telemetry data.
