About the Role
This Project Manager will be accountable to the Program Manager of the EMS Upgrade project, providing support for various project-level responsibilities related to the project schedule, resource management, dependency management, etc. This project will upgrade the existing Transmission SCADA solution, GE’s PowerOn Reliance, migrating for the R2019 version to the R2025 version.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for supporting work planning for 15 workstreams, maintaining a current consolidated workplan and managing inter- and intra-workstream dependencies to ensure alignment across workstreams.
- Responsibility to collect and consolidate weekly status reports from workstream leads, providing a consolidated project status report weekly to the Program Manager for further dissemination as appropriate.
- To the extent the project tasks require specific project deliverables, or contractual deliverables, to be formally approved, the PM will be responsible to facilitate and track those approvals.
- Responsibility for maintaining current resource capacity planning across workstreams, including weekly review of actuals vs forecast, monthly forecast planning, maintenance of a project org chart and associated SharePoint calendars for resource availability.
What You Will Need
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience, including demonstrated experience with complex, multi-year system implementations that require close management of the critical path
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to accommodate various management styles and meet work leaders where they are with their project management skills
- Ability to follow task planning and status conversations for software lifecycle work and various specialized work such as hardware build and regulatory compliance
- Ability to visually represent information for consumption by a broad audience
- Demonstrated excellence with MS Project, MS Excel, and SharePoint document storage and use of Lists/Calendars
- Utility or energy industry experience greatly preferred
- Experience with real-time, Operational Technology solutions within a 24x7 setting (Electric Transmission or Distribution SCADA, Outage Management) preferred
This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $64.29/hour - $85.71/hour
