About the Role

The Data Analyst will develop and automate advanced Excel and SQL-based forecasting, planning, and reporting models (demand, supply, inventory, EOL/NPI), integrating with Tableau for dynamic dashboards and business insights. Additionally, you will ensure data accuracy, streamline processes, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver user-friendly tools, identify supply chain risks, and recommend efficiency improvements.

This is an onsite schedule with the Santa  Clara, CA office. 

 What You Will Do

•  Develop and maintain complex Excel models for forecasting, planning, and analysis.
• Automate data processing and reporting tasks using advanced Excel functions and VBA.
• Create dynamic dashboards and visualizations to support decision-making processes.
• Ability to consume various data sets and build user friendly excel models for business users.
• Develop models to support demand forecasting, supply planning (safety stock/buffer calc.), EOL/NPI Planning and Inventory Reporting.
• Update and maintain supply planning files, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Validate data inputs and troubleshoot discrepancies in planning reports.
• Recommend improvements in tools or systems to support more efficient planning
• Provide analysis on supply trends, gaps, or risks, and suggets corrective actions.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various databases (GCP).
• Integrate SQL data with Excel models and Tableau to ensure accurate and up-to-date reporting.
• Assist in the maintenance and improvement of SQL databases to support business needs.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across various reporting tools and platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and build excel models that can support the business.
• Document processes and logic behind automation.

What You Will Need

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including functions, pivot tables, and VBA.
• Ability to write SQL Queries
• Ability to consume and analyze large sets of data
• Understanding of Supply Chain Planning is a plus
• Excellent Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
• Strong Communication skills and should be able to collaborate with multiple teams
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and forecasting models

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $58.93/hour - $78.57/hour
