About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as we embark on a transformative journey in software procurement and vendor management. This role offers the opportunity to lead significant changes in our organization’s approach to acquiring and managing software, ensuring that we not only meet but exceed the expectations of our business partners and customers. You will be at the forefront of re-architecting our software procurement process, establishing robust vendor governance frameworks, and facilitating new technology introductions through our Architecture Review Board (ARB). Your collaboration with various departments such as IT, Security, Finance, and Legal will be crucial in simplifying processes, enhancing transparency, and achieving cost savings. What You Will Do
- Rearchitect the Software Procurement Process:
- Lead a cross-functional program to design, implement, and manage a new end-to-end software procurement and sourcing process.
- Partner closely with key stakeholders in IT, Security, Finance, Legal, and business departments to identify pain points, define requirements, and ensure the new process meets all stakeholder needs.
- Develop clear intake procedures, standardized evaluation criteria, and streamlined approval workflows to improve visibility and reduce purchase cycle times.
- Champion the adoption of the new process across the organization through effective change management, communication, and training.
- Manage the Architecture Review Board (ARB):
- Facilitate the ARB as the central governance body for all new technology introductions.
- Manage the intake and review process for all software and SaaS requests, ensuring proposals are complete and ready for architectural review.
- Set agendas, coordinate meetings, document key decisions, and track action items to ensure architectural standards are consistently applied and enforced.
- Act as the key liaison between technical architects and business requesters, translating needs and ensuring alignment.
- Enable Vendor Governance and Lifecycle Management:
- Establish and mature a comprehensive vendor governance framework to manage strategic software suppliers.Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and scorecards to monitor vendor performance, compliance, and value delivery.
- Organize and facilitate regular business reviews (QBRs) with key vendors to manage relationships and drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with Finance and department owners to track software spend, usage, and renewals while identifying opportunities for consolidation and cost savings.
What You Will Need
- Proven experience in program management within an IT or technology organization.
- Strong expertise in process design/re-engineering.
- Direct experience with IT procurement or vendor management.
- Familiarity with technical governance bodies like ARB or similar committees.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills across diverse levels of an organization.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
- PMP or other program management certification is a plus.
This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $80.41/hour - $107.21/hour
