About the role
The Security Analyst II – IAM Controls & Governance is a senior‑level role accountable for the design, governance, and continuous improvement of the Identity & Access Management (IAM) control framework. This role serves as a subject‑matter expert in access governance, control validation, audit engagement, and SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ), ensuring IAM processes are risk‑based, compliant, and audit‑ready across the enterprise.
What you'll do:
- Own and govern the IAM control framework, including control design, documentation, and ongoing effectiveness testing.
- Execute periodic IAM control assessments, identify gaps, and lead remediation efforts for control deficiencies and audit findings.
- Lead enterprise access reviews (user and privileged), including review execution, validation, analysis, and process improvement recommendations.
- Act as the primary IAM point of contact for internal audit, external auditors, and risk/compliance partners.
- Prepare and deliver audit evidence, control walkthroughs, and management responses related to IAM processes and controls.
- Provide governance oversight for SailPoint IdentityIQ configurations supporting access certifications, RBAC, and access governance processes.
- Partner closely with IAM engineering, security, and application teams to ensure technical implementations align with control and policy requirements.
- Define, track, and report IAM metrics and KPIs to measure control effectiveness, risk reduction, and program maturity.
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of experience in IAM, security controls, or IT risk/governance roles.
- Strong hands‑on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ), particularly access certifications and governance workflows.
- Demonstrated experience owning IAM controls and supporting SOX, SOC, or similar regulatory and audit requirements.
- Deep understanding of access governance, access reviews, privileged access concepts, and RBAC.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with auditors, risk partners, and senior stakeholders.
- Experience supporting large‑scale, enterprise IAM programs.
- SailPoint certification or equivalent hands‑on expertise strongly preferred.
This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $70.98/hour - $94.65/ hour
