About the Role (Role Description):

Tech Operations Engineer will support IT Infrastructure (e.g., SSO platform, Configuration Management, Patch / Management / Systems Updates and Upgrades, Network, and security systems, and on-prem infrastructure. Experience with WSUS, PatchMyPC, Connectwise Automate and other patch / vulnerability management toolsets.

What You Will Do (Role Responsibilities):

  • Support IT Infrastructure (e.g., SSO platform, Configuration Management, Patch / Management / Systems Updates and Upgrades, Network, and security systems, and on-prem infrastructure. Experience with WSUS, PatchMyPC, Connectwise Automate and other patch / vulnerability management toolsets.
  • Support of Microsoft 365: Implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Azure AD, Exchange Online, Intune, Defender, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and other related services.
  • Automate tasks through scripting technologies
  • Support execution of Information Technology infrastructure projects to support Business growth and security compliance. 
  • Monitor and remediate issues within infrastructure and systems
  • Resolve tickets and escalations from employees. Improve documentation and processes to reduce repetitive tickets
  • Support IT infrastructure level 3 support / triage and maintenance where necessary. 
  • Ensure proper uniformity, documentation, and configuration control of technology platform, processes, and projects.
  • Documentation and Training: Create and maintain technical documentation, guidelines, and training materials for the solutions you work on.

What You Will Need (Basic Qualifications):

  • 5 years of experience or more in large enterprise and/or cloud operations
  • Competent with a proven history working with Windows Desktops (10 / 11) and Servers (2016 and newer)
  • Competent with a proven history working with Active Directory, DNS, DFS, File Services and Print Services. 
  • Experience with IT security, certificates/ PKI, vulnerability, and patch management.
  • Strong knowledge of administering and maintaining Mac and Windows systems at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of administering Windows Server with some Linux server administration.
  • Familiarity or working knowledge working with cloud-based technologies, especially AWS
  • Knowledge of automation scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
  • Understanding or experience of common networking protocols and services including IP, TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP(s)
  • Full technology stack understanding for troubleshooting (network, storage, infrastructure (servers), cloud, applications, etc.).
  • Able to document work performed for cross pollination and repeatability.
  • Bachelor's degree in IS or equivalent.
  • Motivated and energetic team player.
  • Able to work independently and own tasks to completion.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a United States (US) Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or Department of
  • Homeland Security (DHS) Security Clearance.
  • Windows Desktop / Server certification.
  • Experience working with Linux (CentOS/RHEL preferred)
  • Experience working with network hardware (switches and routers).
  • Experience working with firewalls and VPNs.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IS or equivalent.

 


This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $39.64/hour - $52.86/hour
